In the Middle Ages, there were many different forms of torturing people using special torture devices. The first Russian invasion of Chechnya in 1993 and then in 1999, followed by the war in Georgia and now Ukraine, showed us that the evil forces of medieval mentality are still present in a modern human being. This notion shows us that 69 years under an inhuman regime of massive exterminations, lies, and
manipulations, an environment of despair and paranoia, taught the society to act in the same way towards one another.

History doesn’t repeat itself; it shows us what man is capable of. But those who were lied to for decades and forced to live in a delusional world are unable to learn anything from the past because they were always portrayed as victims.
