At the core of this project lies Bataille’s belief that eroticism is not just a form of pleasure, but a means of transgression and taboo-breaking. For Bataille, both war and eroticism are extreme experiences that push the boundaries of human existence, confronting individuals with the ultimate limits of life and death. He views them as ways to transcend rationality and access a deeper, more primal sense of human experience.

All colours arouse specific associative ideas, psychologically material or tangible, while blue suggests at most the sea and sky, and they, after all, are in actual, visible nature what is most abstract.’ — Yves Klein.
